Description:
'Tales of Time and Space' is a collection of 23 internationally acclaimed contemporary artists new work that is commissioned for the Folkestone Triennial. The artists includes Mark Wallinger, Tacita Dean, Jeremy Deller, Mark Dion, Christian Oltanski and Tracey Emin with sculptures, performances, film, photography and sound work that engages with Folkestone's history.
Their works will be on display in public spaces such as the harbour, parks, historic buildings and the marine promenade until 14 September 2008. All of the artworks will be on display daily from 11.00 to 17.00 for visitors to experience free of charge. Some of the artworks are in fixed sites and some are mobile, appearing in different locations around the town. Check the website and Visitor Centre for daily updates on the mobile projects.
This is the must-see contemporary free art event of summer 2008!
