Mompesson House

Description:

Built in 1701 for Charles Mompesson, Mompesson House is an architectural gem near Salisbury's cathedral. A splendid example of Queen Anne architecture, it contains exquisite plasterwork, an original oak staircase and a collection of Turnbull 18th-century drinking glasses.

Film fans may recall the house from in the 1995 production of Sense and Sensibility.
