Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery
Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, built in 1885, is home to the
world's largest collection of Pre-Raphaelite art, as well as an
impressive collection of European paintings and sculpture spanning
the 14th to 21st centuries. The applied art collection includes
jewellery, ceramics, metalwork, glass and textiles. The family
friendly interactive galleries 'In Touch' and 'How Art is Made'
will stimulate the imagination of children and there are also
history collections featuring Roman, Greek and Egyptian artefacts.
Throughout the school summer holidays there are plenty of low cost
family craft activities.
