The Cornwall Tourist Pass provides
significant savings for tourists visiting numerous venues
throughout the Duchy. Credit card sized, and easy to use it is
available for a modest fee of £10, giving 14 days use for
individuals, couples or the entire family. St Ives based Director,
Warren Mills, says he is delighted with the positive response from
Cornwall's business community.
Among those already signed up to the scheme are Flambards, Isles
of Scilly Travel, Newquay Zoo and Geevor Tin Mine. As numerous
restaurants, Inns and Holiday Parks are also participating, the
card should prove to be popular with most visitors, in particular
families who wish to enjoy a few "treats". Illustrations available
on the Company's Website indicate that a family of four, with
average card usage, could save up to £86, for their £10 fee. As
people start to tighten their belts in the current economic
climate, it is hoped that savings from using the card will
encourage visitors to make the most of our paying attractions,
thereby supporting the tourist economy. So that Cornwall's
residents do not miss out, the Company is developing a card
specifically for their use, covering a longer period.
The tourist card can be purchased online, direct from the
Company's website but in addition major holiday letting companies
intend to provide them to their customers. Sales will be augmented
by a network of authorised retailers. businesses wishing to join
the scheme should contact Warren Mills on 07809 195729. Further
details, including existing participating businesses, are available
