Kent and East Sussex Railway
The Kent and Essex Railway weaves a picturesque route through the rolling countryside of the Weald through to the open tranquillity of the Rother Valley, where the line terminates just a stone's throw from the National Trust Castle at Bodiam. Beautifully restored coaches dating from Victorian times to the 1960s and operational steam locomotives built as early as 1872 easily combine to recreate many a timeless era. To discover the experience of travel and service from a bygone age a visit to the Kent and East Sussex Railway is essential.
