Description:
Shoeburyness is a at the end of the c2c train line and is situated at the mouth of the river Thames and the busy estuary. There are two Blue Flag beeches with East Beach close by Shoeburyness station and Shoebury Common Beach (also known as West Beach) within walking distance from Thorpe Bay station. East Beach is a popular sandy / pebbly beach with grass hinterland and on site Café and is around a quarter of a mile long. Shoebury Common Beach is the ideal location for those wanting to take part in - or for those wanting to watch - fun on the waves. It is also, at its easternmost point, ideally situated for access to Thorpe Bay, with its shops, bars, cafes and restaurants.
