National Express East Anglia: Advance
Buy in advance, travel at selected times
National Express East Anglia Advance offers passengers greater choice and flexibility on train services between Norwich, Lowestoft, Peterborough and London Liverpool Street.
- Advance fares are sold as one way tickets, allowing you to choose the lowest available price for either leg of your journey.
- Advance tickets are purchased in advance for travel at a specified time.
- With fares starting as low as £6 (for a journey valid on 'National Express East Anglia' services only), a return journey on Intercity trains between London Liverpool Street and Norwich could be made for as little as £12 (depending on availability and time of travel). Alternatively, you can choose to 'mix and match' by travelling First Class in one direction and Standard in the other.
- To get the best deal, book well in advance and travel at Off-Peak times.
- Advance tickets are subject to limited availability, and not all levels of National Express East Anglia Advance fare will be available on every train. In particular, there won't usually be any level 1 & 2 fares available at busy peak periods. On weekdays, this generally means before 10.00 on trains arriving in London or returning between 16.00 and 19.00.
- Advance tickets are available for travel from most stations in Suffolk and Norfolk to London (via Ipswich), also from Peterborough, March and Ely via Bury St Edmunds. National Express East Anglia Advance tickets are also available in the opposite direction, and for selected intermediate journeys.
