St Paul's Cathedral

St Paul's Cathedral

St Paul's is not only an architectural masterpiece and its dome a landmark of the London skyline, but also a symbol of the hope, resilience and strength of the city and nation it serves. A cathedral has stood here since 604AD with the present cathedral now entirely cleaned and restored for its 300thanniversary in 2011.

Its rich and diverse history means there is lots for visitors to the cathedral to discover on the cathedral floor, the crypt and the galleries; experience the acoustic quirks of the Whispering Gallery and breathtaking panoramic views from the Golden Gallery.

The crypt is the resting place for many famous Britons such as Lord Admiral Nelson, the Duke of Wellington, and the cathedral's architect himself - Sir Christopher Wren.

Visitors can explore using a touch-screen multimedia guide; join a guided tour; and watch the award winning 270° film experience, Oculus - an eye into St Paul's.

Admission: Adult £14.50

Opening Times: Monday - Saturday, 08.30 - 16.00 (last admission). Once inside the cathedral the galleries are open 09.30 - 16.15. The cathedral closes for sightseeing at 16.30. On Sunday the cathedral is open only for worship and there is no sightseeing.
