One of the most beautiful churches in all England and one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in the country. St Mary Redcliffe church was founded in the 13th century and built over a period of 200 years by the merchants of Bristol. Described by Queen Elizabeth I as 'the goodliest, fairest and most famous parish church in England'.
