ZSL London Zoo has been entertaining and delighting visitors since opening to the public in 1847. With over 800 animal species, exciting and innovative exhibits it's a great day out in the capital for all ages and sizes.

 

Get up close to our family of Sumatran tigers in Tiger Territory, ZSL London Zoo's latest landmark exhibit.

 

Explore London's only living rainforest and discover its incredible species. Journey Into Africa where you can observe the elegance of the giraffes from the viewing platform and visit the pygmy hippos in their new pad.

 

Check out our colony of penguins in Penguin Beach and enter the African rainforest to see out tribe of western lowland gorillas.

 

Visitors can also enjoy our daily animal displays, feeds and talks!

There are a number of disabled parking bays near the Zoo entrance.

Access

The Zoo is more than 170 years old and contains many old buildings, 12 of which are listed. However, most of the Zoo is accessible for wheelchair users and those with walking difficulties. The Zoo also has a limited number of wheelchairs available to hire at no extra cost. It is recommended that you book a wheelchair in advance of your visit. Please call 0844 225 1826 to reserve one.
