The British Music Experience tells the story of British Music through costumes, instruments, performance, and memorabilia. Whatever age you are, and whatever you are into, there is something here for you. We’ve got outfits worn by artists from Freddie Mercury and Dusty Springfield, to the Spice Girls, and Adam Ant and musical instruments played by some of the world’s most renowned artists from Noel Gallagher to the Sex Pistols. We even have hand written song lyrics from Adele, the original statues from the Brits, and the Apple Corp front door from Saville Row.
You can also get involved. You can learn a musical instrument with the best music equipment available, from drum kits to keyboards. Teenagers will love to try their hand at dancing the decades in our dance pop routines studio!
After the main event browse an exclusive range of gifts, clothing, books, and memorabilia from the Merch Store and you can rest those dancing feet with a selection of delicious snacks and meals in the Star Café. Our temporary exhibition Girl Power! Spice Girls at 30 charts the history of the most important girl band in British history. Girl Power! Spice Girls at 30 tells the band’s story through outfits from the extraordinary collection of independent curator Liz West, who is the foremost collector of Spice Girls memorabilia and merchandise in the World.
The exhibition is running until 16 March 2025. Girl Power - Spice Girls at 30 is a collectors event and not an official Spice Girls exhibition.
