There are so many activities and events happening during the half-term break!
For fun days out for nature lovers, London Zoo is hosting Vets in Action from 10 to 18 February, where kids can test their creature care skills and learn about animals. Seahorse Hotel is hosting an event at all SEA LIFE locations (except Blackpool and Birmingham) from 10 to 24 February. You can meet seahorses and learn all about them. Plantasia Tropical Zoo in Swansea is celebrating its 34th birthday from 17 to 25 February, offering scheduled animal and plant talks, a fun-themed trail, birthday card crafts, and more. And The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew is hosting the annual orchid festival from 3 February to 3 March.
For cultural trips, you can visit the London Transport Museum, where they celebrate women who have contributed to transport and engineering jobs in London. They have historic buses, Tube trains, and a new Global Poster Gallery. On 15 February, Hastings Contemporary Gallery is hosting a family day where children and families can interact with the space and create their 2D layouts and 3D sculptural totems. Until 18 February, Lee Miller’s life and work are being exhibited through her clothing in the LEE MILLER: DRESSED EXHIBITION at Brighton Gallery. The exhibition is free with Brighton Museum admission and includes outfits that represent significant moments in her biography and creativity, along with her photography.
For a fun day out with 11 adrenaline-fueled activities for all ages, visit The Bear Grylls Adventure in Birmingham. You can scale the tallest high ropes attraction in Europe, try the unique iFLY indoor skydiving tunnel, or stick to the ground with axe throwing, shooting, archery, and an Escape Room. Every adventurer can test their agility on the assault course included in any activity ticket.
Don’t miss the “Batteries Not Included” exhibition during half term at the National Football Museum in Manchester. This exhibition showcases the history and evolution of football toys and games, with 17 interactive games and exhibits to try. The Score Gallery exhibition reflects how play technology is now integrated into professional football. And Tottenham Hotspur FC Stadium has extra half-term events, including face painting and a colouring competition.
