It’s half term and you’ve got to amuse your darlings! Here’s what you do: ditch your car, book some train tickets, download your 2FOR1 voucher for London’s best attractions for kids and take them on a brilliant day out to remember. And not an iPad in sight. You’re welcome.
ZSL London Zoo
Get up close (but not too close!) to some beautiful Asiatic lions at London Zoo’s biggest and newest attraction Land of the Lions. The immersive exhibit includes an interactive Indian adventure where your little cat lovers can help ZSL’s forest rangers deal with a ‘lion-emergency’.
The capital’s iconic and popular tourist attraction allows visitors to enjoy expansive views over London as you slowly move round. Your journey in your glass pod lasts about 30 minutes so make sure everyone has been to the loo first!
The London Dungeon
Jack the Ripper, Sweeney Todd, Henry VIII and Guy Fawkes are the stars of the gruesome tales told at the Dungeon. Visitors are taken through 18 interactive shows and there are plenty of shocks and thrills. There is no age restriction but the Dungeon recommends children are aged 12 or above.
Young history scholars may enjoy a trip to see the world’s last surviving 19th century tea clipper. The beautifully restored sailing ship has interactive displays and stories and has been raised 3 metres off the ground so you can even walk underneath it and touch the hull.
Harry Potter Bus Tour
Muggles! Get your little wizards ready for a truly magical Harry Potter journey. This three-hour mini coach tour will show you many of the film locations and inspirations from all eight films including Kings Cross Station, which was used to film Platform 9 ¾.
