The vets will see you now!
Kids can join in with Vets in Action at ZSL London Zoo this half-term
Saturday 11 February to Sunday 19 February 2017
ZSL London Zoo is inviting children to become Zoo vets this February half-term - at Animal Hospital, an exciting role-playing experience for budding veterinarians.
From Saturday 11 to Sunday 19 February as part of Vets in Action, kids will be able to truly step into the role of a vet at ZSL London Zoo, during a packed week of interactive family events celebrating the incredible work of the Zoo’s vet team.
After arriving for work at the hospital’s reception, junior vets will be prepped with gloves and masks before joining the team in the specially recreated ‘surgery’.
Becoming part of the action, children will help experts examine, x-ray and carry out toy treatments - experiencing first-hand the huge variety of work carried out by the Zoo’s vets, vet nurses and zookeepers on a daily basis.
When the masks come off, a packed schedule of talks and activities throughout the week will take families further inside the exciting world of animal medicine, explaining everything the team do to keep the Zoo’s 18,000 animals in tip-top condition - from microchipping meerkats to checking tiger teeth.
Vets in Action at ZSL London Zoo, will run from Saturday 11 to Sunday 19 February 2017. A great value day out, Animal Hospital and all extra activities are included in the entry price. Beat the queues at the gate and book tickets online now at www.zsl.org

ZSL – Imagine a world without wildlife
An elephant is killed by poachers every fifteen minutes. Amphibians across the globe are facing an unparalleled disease epidemic. Fish numbers risk being matched by toxic plastic pollutants within a decade. The world’s wildlife populations have halved in just 40 years.
These can be changed if we act now. International conservation charity the Zoological Society of London is working for wildlife around the world to ensure no one has to imagine a world without wildlife. Find out how to get involved at www.zsl.org/withwildlife or join the campaign online using #WithWildlife
