Westminster Abbey 2018 activities
May Half term (29th May – 1st June):
Celebrate the beauty of the oldest cultivated garden in England during our week of half‐term
activities culminating in a Family Day on the 1st June. Plant some seeds and come back again to watch them grow, take a tour of the Abbey exploring the wonder of nature, join in art and craft activities and travel back in time to experience the life of a medieval monk.
Join us to explore Westminster Abbey for four weeks of family activities under the themes:
Marvellous Monarchs, Tower Power, Medieval Monks and Famous Faces. On Tuesdays and
Thursdays from the 24th July to the 16th August we will run workshops in College Garden, these could be with an actor, musician or artist and on Wednesdays discover the hidden stories of Westminster Abbey through interactive guided tours. On all 3 days enjoy an art and craft activity in the beautiful medieval cloisters.
Brass on the Grass
From mid‐July until late September, visitors will be able to enjoy music from some of the UK’s finest brass brands in the splendid setting of Westminster Abbey's 900+ year old College Garden. The concerts happen every Wednesday at lunch time and there is no cost to attend.
