Step inside a traditional East End tailor’s workshop and immerse yourself in the glitz and glamour of a Carnaby Street boutique at the height of the Swinging Sixties – when London was the world's fashion capital.
Discover the craftsmanship of Jewish designers, makers and retailers that were responsible for some of the most recognisable looks of the 20th century, dressing stars such as David Bowie, Mick Jagger and Princess Diana.
Featuring key figures such as renowned wedding dress designer Netty Spiegel, master milliner Otto Lucas, the epitome of British flamboyance Mr Fish, and living legend David Sassoon, Fashion City uses fashion and textiles, oral histories, objects and photography to weave together this fascinating history, where every stitch tells a truly unique story.
Entry to the exhibition includes free downloadable interactive multimedia guide in partnership with Bloomberg Connects.
